Hello!
My name is Cristian. I am a project coordinator for the Research on Eating Disorders and Suicidality (REDS) Lab at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama.
My research interests broadly encompass the transdiagnostic processes underlying impairing psychological conditions such as self-injurious thoughts and behaviors (SITBs), anxiety disorders, and eating disorders. In other words, how do we find the best way to identify and categorize the shared mechanisms working "under the hood" in these disorders, so as to best prevent and treat them? I enjoy the stats and the methods behind the science, and wish to promote scientific communication with the world.
In my free time (what's that?), you can find me out in nature, probably on a hike or taking pictures of all the critters I find on the trail (see my photography Instagram account linked below!). If it's too cold out, I'm probably playing Minecraft or tinkering with my next big idea :)
